Heron Hall, Laguna Environmental Center, 900 Sanford Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95401
$10 at the door. No RSVP necessary.
Join us for this inspiring overview of the Foundation’s stewardship efforts in the Laguna de Santa Rosa. As Director of the Foundation's Restoration and Conservation Science programs, John will share successes and ongoing challenges involved in securing a bright and vibrant future for the Laguna and its residents. Learn about the extent of what’s been accomplished collaboratively over the years and what some of the opportunities are in the fields of restoration ecology and conservation science in the Laguna watershed. For example, the Conservation and Restoration Department has had a great deal of success in restoring riparian forest habitat through projects like planting tens of thousands of native plants in the Laguna that improve our water quality and provide beauty, wildlife habitat, and migration corridors. However, there are many more opportunities for restoring this wetland of international importance!
