Raptors of the Laguna Presentation

Lawrence Broderick will be giving a presentation on the resident birds of prey (“raptors”) in the Laguna de Santa Rosa, including habits, identification, and where to spot them. The presentation will take place at Heron Hall on Friday, August 23, with a raptor walk along the new Laguna Trail on Saturday, August 24. During the walk, put your knowledge to use and see the raptors of the Laguna first-hand. Participants may attend either or both events.
Lawrence (Larry) Broderick is a local field guide and interpretive specialist for raptor identification and natural history. He has been studying hawks for over 30 years. Larry is the specialist for West County Hawk Watch, a North Bay Area group that brings attention to threats faced by North American birds of prey. They provide identification and education programs, hikes, tours, and workshops, as well as nest site protection, counts, studies, and documentation.
