The Laguna Foundation is offering Laguna Guides Training this June. The training program prepares volunteers to lead activities and tours at the Laguna Environmental Center and to share their love of the Laguna with diverse audiences. The training is focused on the natural and cultural history of the Laguna and how to create dynamic visitor experiences for all ages. Guides also lead public walks on the Laguna Trail and help manage Great Blue Heron Hall during public education classes and special events. The Laguna Guides experience is fun and rewarding!

Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Emptiness: A Comedic Musical Romp Through the Buddhaverse

A Comedic Musical Romp Through the Buddhaverse

Friday, June 14th at 8 pm at The Dhyana Center in Sebastopol

In her latest new original one woman comic performance, Lou Montgomery weaves together humorous personal narrative, Buddhist teachings, topical songs, and visual imagery as she depicts her madcap journey towards awakening from "Samara," which according to Buddhism means "delusional cyclic existence."

Lou's take on the relevance of various Buddhist practices to our increasingly confused world is humorous, insightful, and moving. She will be joined onstage by invited musicians Richard Mandel, Hoytus Rolen, and Kim Atkinson.
