    Martin Shaw ~ Mythologist/Storyteller

The Numina Center for Spirituality & the Arts presents a return performance of Martin Shaw, Storyteller & Mythologist! The cost will be $20 for General Admission, and $25 for preferred seating. Tickets are available online NOW here: http://martinshaw-numinacenter.eventbrite.com/

If you know Martin Shaw's work, I'm sure I have no need to say more. If you have never seen him perform...get ready for an incredible depth experience! Author and wilderness rites-of-passage guide Martin Shaw has been described by Robert Bly as “a true master” and as “one of the very greatest storytellers we have.” Based in Devon in the UK, Shaw is Director of the Westcountry School of Myth and Story, leading a year-long program and wilderness retreats, and lecturing. He is also a visiting lecturer in the Desmond Tutu leadership program at Oxford University. As a storyteller and teacher, he is internationally regarded as one of the most exciting new proponents of the mythic imagination. His work has been described as “visceral and imaginative”...finding “wildness in both language and landscape, using myth, philosophy and poetic leaps as a crossroads between the two.” Shaw tells “prophetic stories”…stories that speak deeply to the challenges we face today, in the world and in our personal lives.

The Numina Center for Spirituality & the Arts is a non-profit organization promoting spirituality through artistic expression. We offer a variety of ongoing practices for free (with voluntary donations) on a weekly and monthly basis ~ no one is turned away for an inability to pay! These include Cinema Numina (a monthly film discussion group) and Sacred Yoga ~ Sacred Space --- both of which are also Meetup groups. Additional ongoing practices include Through the Ear to the Heart (a weekly group that sings the music of Hildegard) and a monthly Taize service.

We also offer individual performances on a regular basis! You can find more information here: www.numinacenter.org
