African Drum Spirit Gathering with Okili in Bodega Bay Friday, Feb. 15, 2013
Date & Time: Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 ----6 - 10 PM
Location: Bodega Bay Community Center, 2251 Hwy 1, Bodega Bay, CA 94923
Long overdue for one of these awesome community events, and by popular request, Okili Nguebari, a native of the jungles of Congo, Africa, and long time resident of Sonoma County, would like to share with you, in a completely non competitive environment, his relationship with the spirit that flows through the portal that is the African Drum ~ through the drumming we will explore the deep connection with one another and the spirit world that moves us in connection with the Universe and ultimately participating in the healing of ourselves and our Mother Earth.
Many know Okili from his years here in Sonoma County, dedicated to bringing traditional African Entertainment from afar through the United Africa Club, the 501C3 non profit Organization he founded back in 1997. He and his wife, Sabrina Krauss have been tireless in their promotions of music and dance of the African Diaspora.
Partial proceeds from this event will go toward The United Africa Club, to be used as seed money to promote a larger community event targeted for the summer time.
Please bring your Drums, Chairs will be provided. Limited extra drums are available on a first come first served basis.
Please bring a pot luck consumable and desired drink to share since we are meeting through the dinner hours.
