Stop by for a visit and take in the beautiful views. Birdwatch from the observation deck. Bring a picnic! Enjoy our gift shop and art exhibit in Great Blue Heron Hall. Natural history activities for all ages.

THE INTENSIVE We essentially seek to strip ourselves of surface conditioning and make a genuine effort to unearth and reveal our essential and profound inner nature.This one day event will have three 60 to 90 minute meditation sessions, interspersed with talks by Mark along with the transmission of Shaktipat.
SHAKTIPAT generates the awakening of the dormant spiritual force called Kundalini -- the fundamental principle of transformation. With this initiation spiritual practices go into fast forward. It is the beginning process of accelerated evolution, and the direct experience of the Self; True Self; True Change.

MARK GRIFFIN While a young man, Mark’s studies brought him to the Bay area where he met his Guru, Baba Muktananda. After years of full-time immersion in the study of meditation, Mark had a milestone of extreme spiritual significance, he entered into the advanced state of consciousness known as Nirvikalpa Samadhi. After Muktananda died, Mark continued to study with Tibetan Masters, Kalu Rinpoche and Chogyam Trungpa, who supported the maturing and stabilizing of his abilities.
Mark founded the Los Angeles-based Hard Light Center of Awakening. He is one of only a few individuals in the US today with the ability to go into highly advanced states of meditation and transmission of Shaktipat, directly conveying the experience of completeness to others.
