25th Annual Winter Solstice Ritual with Starhawk
Light is Returning: A Solstice Ritual to Celebrate the Dawning of the New Era
Solstice—the time of new beginnings, when the days are darkest but the light begins to grow again. This year is a special time, the ending of an old era in the Mayan calendar and the beginning of a new one. The Mayan myths have inspired us to look at this year as a key time of change. But to create a thriving world in the future, we need to envision and imagine it. Come join us to weave the stories that can transform the world.
Join us as we celebrate one of the most pivotal Winter Solstices in history. Together we will mark the shortest day of the year and find hope for what is to come.
This event is in a NEW LOCATION: Sebastopol Grange Hall at 6000 Sebastopol Rd/Hwy 12.
Sunday, December 16th 2012. Doors open at 6:30pm and the ritual begins at 7:00pm.
Cost is on a sliding scale of $15 to $50 (no one is turned away for lack of funds). This is a drug and alcohol free event. Please share far and wide.
