TERESA TUDURY in Concert @ the dhyana Center Lofts
TERESA TUDURY takes to the stage on Friday, Jan. 27^th at 8PM for an evening of powerful singing perfectly complemented by her bluesy guitar playing and disarming humor. TERESA has a deep sultry voice that magnetizes audiences, original songs brimming with power, poignancy, and passion, and a hilarious comic wit to match. “Picture a cross between Bette Midler and Bonnie Raitt and toss in the most side-splitting stage patter imaginable…” L.A. TERESA TUDURY started writing songs at age 12 and was performing in San Francisco nightclubs by the time she was 15. She has played on and off in the Bay Area for years, and for almost two decades was based in Los Angeles where in addition to gigging constantly, she wrote comedy and worked as a character actress on stage and screen. Throughout her career, Teresa has recorded or performed with such greats as Leonard Cohen, Rickie Lee Jones, Lyle Lovett, Taj Mahal, Leo Kottke, Charlie Musselwhite and Bonnie Bramlett. Now residing in Sonoma County, Teresa continues to perform and write new material. She has just an released a new cd, Love Letters following up on her successful release of her previous cd, Such Fine Things. Her earlier recordings (1992 Teresa Tudury and the 2002 River of Life were recently re-released. With these recordings and a steady stream of concert appearances, Teresa is a gifted artist in her prime.

DeAnna Batdorff and her husband Scott Jenkins are co-owners of the dhyana Center Educational Lofts. DeAnna is also the founder of the dhyana Center and the Executive Director of the non-profit, Aushadi Health Foundation. Scott Jenkins is the creative backbone of the dhyana Center; and his colorful and imaginative artwork is currently on display at the new dhyana Center Education Lofts in downtown Sebastopol. The dhyana Center Education Lofts are located on the 2^nd floor of the Basso Building at 186 N. Main Street; please enter around the corner at the Basso Building entrance on Wilton Street. You need only step into the magic of the dhyana Center Education Lofts to understand the alluring and healing environment that everyone is talking about; the space literally speaks for itself.
