    About Mark Coker:
Mark Coker, Founder, CEO and Chief Author Advocate of Smashwords
Mark Coker founded Smashwords to change the way books are published, sampled, marketed and sold.
Mark is co-author along with his wife, Lesleyann, of Boob Tube, a novel that explores the behind-the-scenes world of daytime television soap operas. It was Mark's frustration with trying to get Boob Tube published that inspired him to start Smashwords. He believes Smashwords holds the promise to make publishing more enriching for authors, readers and publishers.
With Mark's previous startup, BestCalls.com, launched in 1999, he helped level the playing field for small stock market investors, who at the time were denied access to the earnings conference calls of publicly traded companies. His work with BestCalls, as a champion for fair disclosure, was a catalyst for the SEC’s ground breaking Regulation FD. BestCalls was acquired in 2002 by Shareholder.com and is now owned and operated by the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. In addition to Mark's work with Smashwords, since 1993 he has owned Dovetail Public Relations, an award-winning Silicon Valley PR firm that specializes in representing technology startups.
Mark is a long time angel investor and advisor to technology and media startups. Since 2007, Mark has served on the advisory board for Flat World Knowledge, the leading publisher of open source textbooks. Mark is a contributing columnist for the Huffington Post, where he writes about ebooks and the future of publishing. You can find his previous columns here.
Mark is a graduate of the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley, where he received his B.S. in marketing.

The Transformational Power of Self Forgiveness with Allan Hardman

Allan Hardman - The Transformational Power of Self Forgiveness

    Sunday, June 12, 1:00-4:00pm, $35
    Unity Church of Santa Rosa
    Rev. Kathy McCall
4857 Old Redwood Hwy, Santa Rosa CA 95403
    707-542-PRAY (7729) | www.unityofsantarosa.org

Many people turn to God to “forgive a wretch like me,” but until we find or accept the forgiveness within, we cannot be truly happy. Allan’s “forgiveness” may seem radical to some: “There is nothing to forgive.” Drop into this place of enduring peace with Allan, as he shares his loving perspective with us.

Allan Hardman is a masterful and passionate spiritual teacher, coach, and relationship counselor. Allan’s background includes over twenty years as a practitioner and instructor of Alchemical Hypnotherapy and spiritual psychology, and a ten year personal apprenticeship with Don Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements and other books. He is a Toltec Master in that tradition and brings his wisdom of the Toltec path to his work with spiritual counseling and emotional healing. Allan is the author of The Everything Toltec Wisdom Book, and co-author of The Heart of Healing and Healing the Heart of the World, with Deepak Chopra, Dean Ornish, Caroline Myss, and many others.

Allan says: "All life is based on relationships, and the most important relationship is the one we have with ourselves. Most people have learned to believe lies denying their value and worth in the world. I am passionate about helping us all change how we “dream” ourselves — and learn to love and accept themselves just as we are (and just as we are not!). When we heal our relationship with ourselves the entire world we live in changes. Want to change your world? Let’s do it!” For more information, visit www.joydancer.com.
