2 Poets and a Classical/Blues Guitarist
The evening begins with guitar compositions by the guitarist and composer, Gareth Loy. Gareth is well known for his sizzling finger work on guitar that blends folk, blues and classical styles. Gareth recently soloed with the Marin Symphony: he plays at 5:30.
Janine Canan is highly respected and has a wide following in the Bay Area for her poetry; she has published over 17 books of poetry and prose. She begins at 6:00 p.m.
Hale Thatcher, a very well known Sonoma County poet, will read original poems beginning at 6:30. Hale has published 6 volumes of poetry and many poetry CDs, tapes and films.
We expect a full house--come early for a seat.
