2 immediate openings for eager, energetic individuals with attention to detail, and desire to learn and grow, to be a tea barista and part time apprentice chocolatier. Position is 25-35 hours a week (we’re flexible to accommodate applicant’s needs.) Must be available to work some evenings and at least one weekend day/evening. No experience making chocolates needed; we prefer a pathological aversion to milk and white chocolate. - Prepare, serve, and regularly savor fabulous tea & chocolate drinks from our 100+ tea collection (hot or iced tea, tea lattes, sipping chocolates, & more)
- Sell chocolates and simple pastries
- Work closely with Chocolatier to help make & enrobe chocolate truffles, caramels and molded chocolates;
- Strict attention to safety and improving knife skills;
- Luxuriate in the aroma of chocolate;
- Indulge in the occasional chocolate trance;
- Package chocolates for retail and wholesale;
- Prepare teahouse to open or close (depending on the day and your shift);
- Plus all the prep and clean-up expected or unexpected from similar production and tea service positions.
