Anthony Weiner, as you know had resigned from Congress in disgrace for having online lewd affairs in 2011. He apologized and promised to behave himself. His wife did not come forward. Two years later, he is running for office - the mayorship of NY city. Details of more lewd affairs online with young women made the news and Anthony and his wife Huma, a successful career woman came forward and she stated that he "made horrible mistakes" before and after he left Congress, but she made the decision to forgive him, because she loves him and believes in him.

Here is Anthony's hw and signature. So who is Anthony Weiner and what to make of his behavior? anything his wife should know? - well, according to his handwriting, he did not make mistakes, it's Huma, his wife who is making a mistake here! how so? his writing is highly irregular - form, slant, spacing, pressure, margins, you name it - he is weak, likes a lot of variety, routines bore him to tears, instant gratification is appreciated! spacing between words and lines is wide, lower zone letters, such as g's have angular extenders where you would expect a curve - close relationships are difficult for him because intimacy and trust are a challenge and so is lack of diversion, there is also hostility towards women and some unfinished business there, might be with a parent. His signature is illegible and large - if you didn't see his name typed underneath, you wouldn't know who he was, but you would notice this signature as it's large - he wants attention, but not the vulnerability that comes from being open about his intentions.

What he did fits him exactly! he never met these women as this would necessitate an actual contact - he feels safer on the phone and online. It's like having a relationship without being there, sounds safer than being close to anybody and risking hurt and rejection. his mistake was in getting married, fooling himself and his wife that he is capable of a monogamous, committed relationship when all he is comfortable with are quick, easy, risky, mysterious, safe, sexual online connections without touching anyone. Will he ever learn or could be trusted? I wouldn't hold my breath for that - he is too weak to resist an opportunity for a quick fix, a safe one, that is.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan's court martial started today, he is a US military psychiatrist who murdered 4 years ago 13 comrades at Fort Hood in Texas, and wounded 32 others. He was shot by first responders and is paralyzed from his waist down, in a wheel chair, he is acting as his own defense attorney and is facing the death penalty if convicted. Here are two signatures of his that give us a peek into his psyche, an attempt to understand him in some way. Signatures were enlarged, do not know original size. Ideally, more writing would have been useful, but that is what I got for now.

Top signature is vague and unclear, last part threaded, different from bottom signature, form in both is odd, angular, capitals are large, middle zone letters are much smaller or threaded, baselines are wavering and not following existing lines, strong right slant, smeary, inky look, blunt letters or sticks at the end of words, i dot is a dash pointing left - adding up to an unstable man, unpredictable, evasive, reactive, impulsive, unusual, strange, twisted ideas, fanatical, extreme, vain, not comfortable expressing emotions, not available emotionally to others, hostile, a hard time following rules, self critical, wants attention to boost ego, angry and unhappy.

This was a disaster waiting to happen and in hindsight, those who worked with him or were close to him will probably recall disturbing signs and warnings that were somehow ignored. The trigger point was probably his coming Middle East deployment, he could not control his hostile impulses and blew up. He probably figures that now he has nothing to lose and will try to make the most of the opportunity to gain a worldwide stage for more attention and more venting in the excuse of religious fanaticism. Too bad that this fiasco of him questioning his victims could not be avoided, he has caused too much damage as it is.
