Re: FOUND DOG - Pleasant Hill and Highway 12 - Golden Retriever Mix

It is wonderful of you to take in this apparently lost dog, and it is sad that he is not wearing a collar or identifying tags, which may have been lost in his/her wanderings.
For this reason, I believe the best course is to have the dog scanned at the local animal shelter for a microchip. Microchipping is commonplace and will provide identifying information
I know I count on my dog's microchip to identify him if he were to lose his collar and tags.
    Thank you!

Most veterinary offices can scan for microchips as well.

I received some great emails from people offering food and such!!!

The dog remained with us for 24 hours... thus avoiding the trauma of an animal shelter.

We found the very happy owner the next day.

The dog was fun to have around.... Looked like a big teddy bear crossed with a golden.
