I support everyone's right to do whatever they want, including smoking, as long as they're not violating others in the process. Those of you who imagine that your right to smoke includes the "right" to impose your toxic smoke on others in public places, thus taking away their right to decide for themselves whether to smoke, needn't go far to see fascism; just look in a mirror.

It's interesting to see that Liz, who is very concerned about people's right not to have supposedly toxic smart meters imposed on them, is apparently less concerned about more serious toxins such as tobacco smoke.

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I didn't mean to attribute to you a position that isn't yours.

But surely the intended implication of the original joke was that people who wish to restrict smoking are fascist. This is an attitude I've seen among many inconsiderate smokers, who sometimes call those of us who insist upon our right not to be exposed to their smoke "smoke Nazis". That's what I was responding to.
