A Flowchart for Choosing Your Religion

There must be a problem here, I come out as a boring, generic Christian...

Re: A Flowchart for Choosing Your Religion

    >>>HOW MANY GODS DO YOU WANT TO WORSHIP?

I would prefer a lot of gods worshiping me.

But if I don't have that option, I guess it hinges on what "worship" means. Normally I guess it means "You're so special and fantastic I want to bow down to You every chance I get and follow Your every Command, or at least somebody's best guess at what Your every Command may be." Obviously that's pretty silly (though in fact some people who subscribe to that idea do just fine with it, and accomplish good things as a result), and it seems the only option card-carrying atheists will allow us: the narrowest and most fundamentalist definition of "god" and "worship." I guess I'd need a chart that started something like "What are the features of the Universe that you're absolutely awestruck by, and what does that mean in your life?" and then some option at the bottom that allows for the result, "agnostic but tremendously interested in that Unknown." And it should allow for the eating of bacon, at least in modest amounts, regardless of race or creed, and for dogs, raccoons, or hummingbirds as viable options to cats.

    Cheers--
    Conrad

They never asked me, I was told, but I asked them questions they had no answers for, so after leaving them behind, I'm still very undecided, but happier. Thanks for the laugh however, a major part of my present doctrine.
