    I really don't like the framing of the story, though. Everything is this huge nightmare, worst-case scenario. Technology is a tool and just like I should be reading the instructions, I should be going to settings, first thing. I think the fear-factor part of this story is why settings are not defaulted to the highest and most restrictive setting, rather than the other way around. Getting people to pay attention to a story does require this doomsday scenario approach, sadly.
