Your donations will make 2011 Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival the best yet.

The difference between a film festival and just showing movies is having filmmakers and subjects in attendance to talk about the film and filmmaking process. For as little as $10, you can be a part of bringing these filmmakers to Sebastopol next year.

Our biggest challenge in getting filmmakers in town for the festival is the cost of travel from these places. Your donation will have a direct effect on the audience experience and success of the 4th Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival in March, 2011. All donations are tax-deductible contributions to the Sebastopol Center for the Arts 501(c)(3).

Named “One of the Coolest Film Festivals” by MovieMaker Magazine we are determined to keep this title by creating the best festival experience possible for our wonderful filmmakers and engaged audience. Sebastopol has always been a community that celebrates artists, and the filmmakers that have attended in the past always comment on how welcoming and excited our audiences are.

“You have created this amazing environment where filmmakers feel totally appreciated and the audiences expect great documentaries.” – Christopher Wong, director Whatever It Takes (SDFF2010)

Your funding of this project will ensure that we can keep creating this amazing environment and bringing you these great documentaries and filmmakers. $1500 is a small percentage of the total expense, so let’s show how we can raise enough money to help all of our filmmakers come to Sebastopol in 2011.
