Was out at Bodega Harbor yesterday (out Bay Flat Road past the marina) and saw about 30 Common Loons. They are in breeding plumage and are here for maybe another week? Enjoy!

Beautiful pictures. The female looks a lot like a Brant Goose. I hope to get out to Bodega tomorrow and look around during the Fishermen's Festival..

Nice picture. Liked the Bald Eagle one even better. You might like to try to catch the Great Horned Owls that are nesting at Spring Lake. I just saw one of them this morning, in the pines (redwoods?) between the Oak Knolls restrooms and the lake, just up the hill from that sculpture garden. Big bird, cool horns!
