    BIOGRAPHY: Spence and his wife, Cathy Balestrieri Burton, moved to Petaluma 32 years ago.
    He is retired from the Postal Service after more than 34 years. Cathy teaches Spanish/Italian at Santa Rosa Junior College.
    Currently, Burton serves on the City of Petaluma Planning Commission and formerly served on the City of Petaluma Technology and Telecommunications Committee. He has volunteered for the: Petaluma 150th Anniversary celebrations, Carousel Fund; Veterans Parade; Cinnabar Theater; Petaluma City Schools; Muscular Dystrophy Assn.; St. James Knights of Columbus (Sonoma Mountain Pkwy) etc.

    Burton’s positions:

    · Better means more parks, fields, & services for our youth ~ less incentive to join gangs.

    · Better “teamwork” to resolve our problems! Less confrontation — More ACTION!

    · Better use of our limited water resources!

    · Better means expanded Emergency Services!

    · Better Flood Plain management!

    · Better means a locally sustainable economy and a reduction in our carbon footprint!
