I read about how Germany leads the world in both solar and wind energy in Wikipedia:

It was fascinating to read these articles and many more. For example, solar energy production in Germany supplies enough power for one-half percent (.005) of that country's consumption. No other nation even comes close to this. Another example is that wind power, also in Germany, is 6% of that nation's total energy production (be careful not to confuse 6% of total production with 1/2 percent of energy consumption because consumption is not the same as production).

Does anyone here know about solar and/or wind projects taking place locally or in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area?
