Subject: [dansc] Young Haitian Photo Journalist Needs a Place to Stay for Three months in Sonoma County.

Hi Friends,

Wadner Pierre: is a 24 year old photo Journalist from Haiti who won
a Project Censored award for his work his year. When he attended
our Media Accountability Conference at SSU last October he applied
for the SSU English language institute and was accepted to start
this February. He will be in Sonoma County for three months and has
about $900 to live on during that time. So he will need most of his
money for food and incidentals. So we are helping him look for a
place to stay during that time. Do you have a room or place for him
to sleep? He is very clean, polite, completely trustworthy and
will do work ( gardening, childcare, ect in exchange for a room). His
English is very good, but not enough for college enrollment at this
time. It will take him about three month to reach the language
requirement for enrollment in a college in the US. He has had two
years of college in Haiti already.

He stayed with my wife and me on our couch during his last visit,
but he really needs his own room.

Please e-mail or call me directly if you can help or know someone who
can.

With support from us, Wadner will become a international photo
journalist some day and make a major difference in the world for
peace and social equality.

Please help out if you can.

Thank you
