Rescued TB available: "Pay Day"---From Feedlot to First Place in 60 days!!

    RESCUED SCHOOLMASTER AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Pay Day was shown at Hoofbeats Park schooling dressage show on 10/21, only 4 weeks after arriving in California. He was ridden by a 12-year-old girl and did great, earning a blue ribbon. He is "Mr. Calm" in a busy horse show setting, and loaded with ease into a dark trailer at 6am!!

Come and meet this wonderful horse. He is looking for his forever home, and is located in Fulton (northwest Santa Rosa).

    ***********************************************************
~~ When we noticed Pay Day, a 21 y/o, 15.1h bay TB gelding, on a WA state feedlot, he stood out like a sparkling diamond! We paid his ransom to the Kill Buyer, and shipped him to Sonoma County because, even sight unseen, we could tell he would make an amazing partner in most any equine discipline.

Now that he's been assessed, we know that Pay Day was once someone's competitive show horse. He's an athletic, beautiful mover, with daisy-cutter trot, well-trained, moves naturally in a frame. Fully sound, goes barefoot!

Kid-friendly, our 12-year old rider moved him expertly about the arena with ease. He's a been-there, done-that kind of horse...mellow and gentlemanly. Calm in a busy Horse Show setting. Loads, hauls, ties, clips, bathes, UTD on farrier & dental work; great in stall or pasture; gets along well in group turnout; EASY KEEPER. Wonderful ground manners --- regularly handled by 9 year old girl. Chiro assessed, says he doesn't need any adjustments.

Pay Day seeks a forever home where he will flourish as an adult amateur low-level dressage (training & first level) &/or H/J mount. Suitable for Mother-Daughter...kid safe, yet AA competitive. He would be appropriate for Pony Club riders from confident D1 to D3, possibly more. Still needs to be assessed re: jumping ability and trail riding.

Currently schooling 3X/week to regain muscle & fitness. Prospective adoptors must demonstrate a past history of responsible horse ownership and have the financial & physical means to maintain an older horse. References from a vet, farrier & horse professional will be required, as well as a site check. PLEASE NOTE THAT PAY DAY NEEDS PLACEMENT INTO A LIFETIME HOME ONLY!! $1,200 adoption fee. Pay Day is continuing with his training and is just a delight to ride and be around.

He is calm on trails and seems comfortable both on his own and with buddy. He is living in a group turnout situation at our farm in Fulton and has great social skills!

Come and meet this friendly boy! He would be perfect for an adult amateur who wants to pursue lower level dressage, hunter under saddle, and trails.

Pay Day will continue in part-time training until he finds his forever home!
