We have to let people know to vote No on Proposition 90 and we need your help to
get the word out.

Prop 90 is the most deceptive and potentially harmful proposition we've seen on
the California ballot, and the vast majority of California voters don't know
about it. A coalition of unprecedented breadth has joined together to defeat
this measure -- but we still need to let voters know why to vote no.

Prop 90 is being sold to voters as "eminent domain reform" but buried in the
text is a deceptive provision that would cost taxpayers billions and block new
protections for communities and the environment. The way Prop 90's fine print
works is simple. Any time we pass a new law of any kind -- including laws to
protect open space, guide growth, or improve transportation -- property owners
can claim their property value has been diminished and sue the government for
compensation.

If Prop 90 is enacted, three things will happen:

1) Billions in claims will be made and taxpayers will be stuck with the bill.

2) Government will stop passing needed laws for fear of generating an even
bigger bill for taxpayers.

3) A blizzard of litigation will be filed to seek compensation, needlessly tying
up courts and further wasting taxpayer money.

Vote No on Prop 90.

Please send this message on to every California resident you know. If we all
send this email out, we can reach thousands of voters by election day on
November 7th. Californians deserve to know about Prop 90 and the harm its
passage would cause.

Thank you.
