“I can rewire a lamp like nobody's business, but sew a rip in my kid’s jeans? Forget it!”
"I helped Gus edit his resume. Pete helped me plan my winter vegetable garden!"
Wouldn’t it be great if we could swap the help we need for the help we can give? We can! With the Sebastopol Area Time Bank.
The Sebastopol Area Time Bank allows members to offer services to and request services from our local Time Bank community. By “banking” hours for services rendered and “spending” hours on services received — each transaction constituting an “exchange.” No money changes hands and all work is equally valued. As of November 30, members have completed exchanges worth over 7,700 hours. That’s a lot of rewired lamps, repaired Levi’s, well-edited resumes and bountiful winter gardens!
Membership is free. To qualify you need to call Sebastopol home, be at least 18 years of age, and attend a one-hour, Zoom Orientation. The next Zoom Orientation is January 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
