SHOWCASING THE DIVERSITY OF WEST COUNTY THROUGH DISCUSSIONS WITH INTERESTING MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY.
This Summer and Fall we are hosting a series of roundtable discussions with community members called Sebastopol Arts and Lectures. Our first series focuses on the earth of our region and aims to bring light to the way our community members engage with the land, as farmers, gardeners, and conservationists. This program is held on the second Wednesday of the month from 6:00-7:30 and features an hour or so of conversation between the library staff and the 3-4 panelists, with another half an hour for questions from the audience.
We are hoping you would be interested in joining us on June 12 for our discussion entitled “Green West County”, and focusing on the efforts of individuals and organizations with the goals of a clean environment. We aim to explore how our panelists have come to live or work in this area, how they feel their work creates connections in our community and regional economy, and what goals and vision they have for our community to be better caretakers for our physical environment.
SEPTEMBER 11: COMMUNITY GARDENS featuring representatives from our local kids garden, Daily Acts, and Ceres.
