Last October was awful for all of us in Sonoma County. We all hunkered down and nested at home to cope with the trauma and pollution from the fires. Unfortunately, that meant that most businesses in Sebastopol, including us, had very little income in October. By the time we could pay rent, it was Thanksgiving.
Many of you heard that our landlord told us at Thanksgiving that, since we were late with the rent, we had to move out. We were supposed to be gone by March 1.
About 2 weeks ago, the landlord called and told us we could stay. He said that over 200 of our customers called and told him they did not want us to go. So he changed his mind.
WE ARE NOT MOVING! We continue to offer our chocolates, pastries and tea in the same shop between Whole Foods and Umpqua Bank. Please come share one of our delights with a friend.
Thank you to everyone who called our landlord. Look what a community can do when we speak out. We look forward to seeing you in our shop again soon.
Thank you.
