Have you ever heard of Rebuilding Together? They are this awesome group of tradespeople who will volunteer their time on Saturday April 28 to help a select number of home owners with minor repairs.
If you are low income and live in Sebastopol or Graton, you may be eligible for free repair work.
Projects need to be do-able in a day.
For instance, the types of projects that have been done in the past include:
- Building a ramp
- Painting a fence, or a few interior rooms
- Installing a grab bar or other safety equipment
- Weatherstripping exterior doors
- Addressing electrical repairs
The labor is free and the supplies are usually donated by local businesses or service clubs. If there are any able-bodied individuals in the home, it is requested that they help out on that day. No skills required, but there are plenty of little jobs that can be done. It takes a team!
Would you like to be considered?
