How to contact Paul Ryan now that his office has shut down the phones and fax machines

Since Paul Ryan has blocked his office phones and turned off his fax numbers and is turning away people who show up to deliver petitions, it's time to change tactics.

Please mail post cards to his home address saying NO to defunding Planned Parenthood, NO to repealing the ACA, and NO to privatizing Medicare, or anything else you feel strongly about.

    Paul Ryan
    700 St. Lawrence Avenue
    Janesville WI 53545

Don't you love the way these guys claim they speak for "the American people" but refuse to listen to us?

Let's see what 67 million postcards look like in his driveway.

Re: How to contact Paul Ryan now that his office has shut down the phones and fax machines

Can you say "fake news" ? because that is what this (mostly) seems to be.

Ryans main line is "constituent only" - ie only allows calls from those in his district. Not unheard of for those in leadership positions.

From numerous reports- his fax lines work fine- and mine went through wthout problems.

. His other phone #'s have apparently been busy, which was my experience. Not unexpected given the volume of calls he has surely been receiving since Trump was elected and I'm not sure we can call this anything else without more info.

Snail mail can also be sent to his congressional office where it is far more likely to be opened and cataloged then anything sent to his home, where the best we can hope for is it would go in the recycling (though I'd have to bet trash)

As to blocking delivery of petitions....half truth at best. Yes he (reportedly) had security to intercept the photo op of the delivery of the planned parenthood petitions- again, not at all unheard of. There is no evidence (nor any real suggestion) his office has in any way blocked delivery of other petitions.

This is not meant to be a personal attack- just an observation of what I have increasingly been seeing. We all need to do our "due dilligence" and check and recheck our information- especially when it comes from sources such as facebook and partisan groups and "news" sources.

Wired has an excellent and relevant article on this matter totday titled: "Hello congress? 1935's Calling- It Wants Its Phone System Back" . Read it here:

Congress’ Phone System Is Broken—But It’s Still Your Best Shot
