need easy help with my PC

i am a card caring Luddite and my PC knows it and refuses to connect to my DSL.
Hoping someone can help.. I live in Sebastopol, need someone to come to my house to work on it. I would also love to connect my TV to the PC as well but I really need to be online and that needs to happen ASAP. I am using library, so it make take a day or two to get back to you.
