from a colleague. please take a minute - the TPP is TOTALLY local AND global, affecting everything from internet freedom to food labeling to medicine affordability to EVERY ENVIRONMENTAL LAW being circumvented by any CORPORATION with legal basis for winning lost profits if disallowed to destroy whatever they choose.
Dear friends and anyone you know who cares (ie acts not simply says "I am concerned") about protecting what is left of America's clean water, food, and air, and what little is left of our chances to bring back democracy to America:
TOMORROW IS THE DEADLINE to stop the worst thing yet since the vote to invade Iraq-- the TPP, or TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP, which is NAFTA on STEROIDS, BUT WORSE.
In case you missed it, tomorrow (Wed 1/13/16) is the deadline to submit public comments on the TPP --TRANSPACIFIC PARTNERSHIP -- employment impacts and we need EVERYONE to submit a comment. Don't worry of you know nothing about the employment impact of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement because you can get more information, instructions for submission and sample comments at: https://tiny.cc/SampleCommentsTPP.
Just Go to https://tiny.cc/SampleCommentsTPP. for sample comments and how to submit them.
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) and other agencies are seeking public comments on the impact of the TPP Agreement on U.S. employment, including labor markets. PLEASE send in comments; they need to hear from a huge number of people and response has not been huge. This is your opportunity to talk directly to the U.S. Trade Rep. This is a COPY AND PASTE activity - you can do it! Of course, its great if you have the capacity to insert your own thoughts too but not essential.
** You can also copy your comments and forward to the President and your Congress'l reps. And share with friends, on social media, encouraging them to comment too.
WATCH THIS!
"Earlier this year, the president traveled to Nike headquarters to push the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Speaking about critics’ fears that important health and environmental policies could be weakened by trade agreements, he said, “They’re making stuff up!” As Global Trade Watch director Lori Wallach explains, in the wake of TransCanada’s $15 BILLION suit in a NAFTA ISDS suit, “the making stuff up comment is going to have to get shelved,” because “this attack by TransCanada on our domestic, democratic government decision not to have a pipeline the exact kind of case he said couldn’t possibly happen—well, it just did.”
