Destiny
I’ve waited here patiently,
Thought you were my destiny.
But you never came back to see
If I was your heart’s perfect therapy.
Forever sands have now grown old,
Soul mates for life have gotten cold.
You never came back just to see
Some kind of ill-fated brevity.
You never came back for me,
If I was your forlorned destiny.
Relationships refine like a wine,
Evolving slowly together over time.
Guess we weren’t supposed to rhyme,
We weren’t the real destiny across time.
Your desire to be free is now all that I see.
Regrettably Incontestably only Momentarily.
This is the one thing of which I am now certain.
We weren’t love fated or divinely predetermined.
You aren’t the one I needed or wanted to love me.
Now I am free, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
