Love's Crushing Sensations



Straight to the gut is where these punches will rest

making every innocent victim become more deeply depressed.

Kindness and care are not her true forte

as she delivers each cruel blow in this usual way.



Everything good becomes so terminally uncertain

as she locks you down behind this iron-fisted curtain.

It’s an iron prison, a Metaphorical Museum of sorts

where mummies are wrapped up in solid granite forts.



You know it’s true so don’t turn a blind eye

that any genteel human cannot truly deny.

An iron fist and chronic unrealistic demands

can break the spirit and soul of many sensitive humans.



There’s only so much that one human can take,

These emotions are real and are difficult to fake.

Unrequited Love, (unreciprocated love,)

Is the most painful emotion we will ever experience in our entire life.

We all deserve, hope for, and expect more than these crushing, painful, biological,
psychological and physiological experiences that have been realistically described here below:


Did your mind race with anxiety, fear and depression?

Did your thinking become clouded and your body tremble in confusion?

Did you have such a burning pit in your gut that you had to force yourself to breathe?

Did you lose your appetite so that you could not even eat to sustain your own strength?

Did you feel violated and preyed upon by bullies?

Were you able to maintain your focus and attention as clearly as you could before?

Did you have a throbbing-splitting migraine headache and your throat muscles were

so constricted that you couldn't even take an aspirin to save your own life?

Did your feet feel like lead and was there a cloud so crushing over you that you had to

force yourself to walk into the next room with wobbling legs?

Did all the sounds of life around you become drowned out and become nothing more than

a distant buzz?

Did you have a sensation like you had somehow become detached from your own body?

Were you shocked to find yourself talking to yourself out loud?

Did you experience a mild (type of) insanity?

Did the tears well up in your eyes so easily that you were afraid to go outside

in the light of day where everyone could see you in your sadness and shame?

Do those same flowers smell the way they used to,

or has that scent now been occluded and buried under this dark, secret pain?

Does Love's reflection in this darkened mirror look pretty now?

It doesn't feel good does it?

(Yet, these are the toxic sensations and anguish of grief

when one has been devastated by the people they Love, or thought loved them in return).

As cruel as it seems here on paper, or in the Daily News, these sensations of anguish are real
and are felt deeply by those who are either "looking for" or "losing" Love.
(Whether it be by our parents, family, a loved one, friends,
or even a complete stranger,) the pain is there.
It's all an unfathomable pain in your mind, in your heart, in your body, in your memory and soul.
But, we treat each other just like this every single day all in the name of "Love."

Are we even aware and cognizant of our own unforgiving behaviors towards other people
who are caught in these crosshairs of Cupid's Arrow?

Love is the one emotion that we cannot seem to live with,

yet Love is the one emotion that we cannot seem to live without.


Please do something today that you can honestly be proud of tomorrow.


Give Love as the most rarest and precious of all Gifts.

It's not a weapon for torture or control or shame.

It won't cost you a thing,

But you may just get a whole lot more of it returned back to you.


“Poetic Justice” can help at times to untwist the logics in one’s own mind.

But, not every script can be so sublime or written into a simple comedy divine.
