Elf, eh? My Irish grandmother told my brother and I that a wicked elf lived behind the kitchen door, ready to snatch us if we were wicked and disobedient. We were only children and would creep by quietly in case he caught us and pulled us down to Hell. Elves stole the breath from newborns and would often take the first child of every family. Thanks for the little trip down memory's lane...
