We are down to the wire with our County Supervisors and their unwillingness, to date, to intervene to resolve the largest funding crisis in Sonoma County Library's history.
Please join us for an hour Monday 8:30 am and hold signs or comment at the annual budget hearing 575 Administration Dr, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
Sadly, our Supervisors remain undecided as to whether they will place a revenue measure on the ballot for this November, and empower we, the people, to vote to resolve the historic 25% hours cutback initiated three years ago, and the 32% drop in attendance that has locked tens of thousands of children, teens, parents and seniors out of our libraries.
Incredibly, despite this crisis, our elected Board of Supervisors, paid $150,000 per year with our tax dollars to manage our County budget, HAS NOT ENGAGED IN A SINGLE PUBLIC DEBATE about the largest library funding crisis in history. This first debate will occur on Monday, provided they hear us.
If you can join one action to help or libraries, this is it.If you can't be there but want to add your voice to the 1,100 neighbors who have signed our petition, check out

Or, during this important week ahead, please join the scores of citizens who have emailed (see our website) our Supervisors or called them, at 565-2241.
