My crazy Idea-- The Runaways--- running singers or singing runners.

About two years ago I was running and found myself singing something I was rehearsing at the time. So I thought-- why not--- how about a group of singing runners? Well, why not is obvious--- have you ever tried singing while running? But now I've found a few other people who seem goofy enough to try this. So I'm thinking of putting together a group who would go to fun runs and do our thing.

I'm thinking of mostly doing 50's, 60's and 70's era songs-- maybe because that's my generation, maybe because I find they go better with running. But I'm open to anything.

I'm 64, so I'm not exactly running very fast. My compatriots are in their 20's, so they can run, dance and sing at the same time. But we'll be running slowly.

If interested, or you know anyone else who is, please let me know.

Oh yes--- "Runaway" is a song by Del Shannon--our theme song (both of my 20's runners had never heard of it).

btw, Bonnie Raitt recorded a more sedate version of Runaway in the '70s that suits we Boomers...
