Civics + math can replace "politics"

[I split this post up. The first part is in "bear near Sebastopol" thread. This part is not specific to the bear. - Barry]

Civics + math can replace "politics" when 2/3rds of our great states literally get on the same page of at least 5 of the most urgent social and environmental topics.

BTW - We and the other 1/3rd are free to also secede from each other; this would solve nearly all of our problems; right!?

Without making each other r/Right, Left, or wrong; it may be time to un-unite our states, based on our core values.

How many agree? Can we vote ourselves into 2 well-mapped islands of states?

If we can, or can't; let's still: identify, fund and regulate those core values. Leave behind all laws and budgeting not serving us well. No matter which branch or brand of government it comes from; large or small, Blue, Red or Green, DINOs, RINOs, or faux enviros.

I think 99.5% of us can agree on that!

Our amended/and amendable Constitution protects sovereignty
; and is all we ever need. We can reclaim it without a single act of violence, as we act on our existing legal rights.

The still undeclared "wars" of choice, are based on one of numerous "work-arounds" of our Constitution.

We The People are overdue to create overriding, improved Constitutional Amendments; accounting for the ecocide and genocide going on, both long before and after WWII.

Time to own up to our failed policies; it's the only way we can fix them. The constant ill-sighted justification and cover-ups costs us too much.

It's up to the majority of us to make the difference; as we did when it came to moving money out of dirty banks; and investing in better choices.

The political party system is designed to do nothing but: rinse (dilute the truth), spin it & repeat. When the waste water is never properly cleaned, then gets "recycled" back into the system; and no one in charge openly acknowledges, nor corrects it; the laundry stays dirty, and stinks up all who use it.

Will you propel a reliable repair; or ignore and thus enable it?

    Step #1: Constitution Revolution
    .

Let's reconstitute the best of the old, with fresher, organic ingredients that will truly nourish us, and the natural resources within our own communities and nation.

This will indeed save our Constitutional & human rights, and our economies. As we turn our own swords into plowshares; our local, deep social & environmental values excel. National and regional trade, manufacturing, investments and infrastructure can become sound. Not continually deferring improvements - until reduced to bankruptcy and rubble.

When you read the line items of your governments' budgets, on the local, state and federal level; are you OK with funding that? With the same passion, for example, as aimed at the too-big, bad banks, or animal rights abusers? Can we funnel that inertia into non-violent, efficient, lasting, core corrections in balance with all needs?

Imagine Victory Gardens in every home. Abundant, well-funded and managed parks and wildlife habitats with connecting corridors; because of the well educated and compensated stewards of the land.

We can when we all fund our ethics; and create habits, and budget items which respect life as every watershed connects with the others.

Or, we can continue to divert our tax dollar DEBT to our nation's, and other so-called favored nations' habit of conducting strike-first missions of choice, claiming it as defense; unleashing untold devastating collateral damage; again, and again. Or...

Non-toxic food security through true national & border security; via non-lethal treatment for humans, animals and pollinators!

(Side-stepping the omnivore debate here please.)

When it comes to public safety; here, or abroad; the solutions are simple:

#1) No one has the right to strike first.

#2) Everyone has the right to a fair trial by jury - not lethal force with assumed evidence.

Because too many: judges, law enforcement, generals & commanders, rulers, presidents, politicians & religions, editors, reporters, "experts", scientist, educators, witnesses, bosses, employees & partners, etcetera; are too easily bribed.

Dead suspects can't defend what may be considered the truth by only a few. Innocent victims are never justified. How many have we never even apologized for, let alone compensated?

How much of our community and country is "wild" enough for the native critters to have their own sovereignty? Enough for our species and theirs to live in peace; or should we re-examine the balance, and rules for it?

When you think of all the visible and invisible human impacts, I wonder if our domination is at 100% capacity? Is there really any cap and trade that can truly mitigate that? Or will it take core changes on every level?

Are enough of us up for the task?

Whom or what, if any, will be left to tell that story depends on how selfishly, or selflessly we fund our values. On the: City, County, State and Federal levels; the values of each can profoundly affect the other.

We can't really blame government if we aren't promoting & requiring the legislative solutions as a well-intentioned majority. Let's write our top 10 list for our ideal legacy to leave.

Shall we begin ending all act of offense; fund only defense? Then a vote to migrate to the tribe with the right vibe 4 U?

The 2 (or 3) state solution might be just what the good doctor ordered for Israel and the US, UK, Iraq, etc.

Thanks for considering this; and doing all you can with as many choices as possible, in how you spend your: time, money & attention.
