    Stand up against Smart Meters! Come to the City Council meeting on Tues. Feb 19 *8pm

    The Sebastopol City Council will be discussing PG&E Smart Meters on Tuesday February 19, around 8pm. (at the Teen Center)

    The council has been asked to take the following three actions which are recommended by Fairfax councilman Larry Bragman. Fairfax has had more success in keeping PG&E Smart Meters out of Fairfax.

    1. Have the city attorney send a strong message to CPUC President Michael Peevey, ALJ Amy Yip-Kikugawa, and PG&E regarding stopping Smart Meter installation is Sebastopol.
    2. Adopt an emergency ordinance, banning Smart Meters.
    3. Adopt a community opt-out resolution.

    Want to see Smart Meters banned, and have the city take a stronger stand against PG&E?
    Come to the Sebastopol city council meeting on Tuesday February 19 at the Teen center. *Arrive around 8 pm. The Sebastopol City Council needs to see new faces and hear from more people on this issue!

    Sebastopol has asked for a moratorium on Smart Meters twice. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) is currently evaluating a Smart Meter opt-out program that includes communities. However, recently PG&E has been installing Smart Meters in Sebastopol.

    If you cannot make it to the meeting please send them an email: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]

    See this website post for more information and new Smart Meter flyers: https://emfsafetynetwork.org/?p=9335 * The City council meeting starts at 6pm, so 8pm is an estimated time, based on it’s agenda item #8. It could be later, not likely earlier.

    Re: Stand up against Smart Meters! Come to the City Council meeting on Tues. Feb 19 *8pm

    To ME its a simple as this;
    Smart meters are not

    they are made of PLASTIC DUH there is a reason meters were made of metal and GLASS(PYREX) . people in the industry CARED if you got burnt up,those people got old and retired the yuppy brats who took over only care about the bottom line,and their retirement accounts, IF your line gets hit by lightning and your meter bursts intopflames that is YOUR PROBLEM not theirs.This is a generation raised on television.hey its more EXCITING when your house burns up ,It provides news for the news agencies who are no longer permitted to carry REAL news!
    ( how many of you know that a KENNEDY was arrested handcuffed to the whitehouse fence protesting keystone pipeline?) for instance.

    wake UP and welcome to the "new world" so the plastic meters have electronic computers in them ,what happens to them well they get out of date and need replacement GE makeas a fortune at your expense but we don't care we are already paying for all the other new computers ! Military omg grocery systems billions etc etc oops sorry got to go time for an UPGRADE...
