Service Offered Helping Older Person

Are you in a transitional/temporary situation, i.e., recuperating after surgery or fall/accident, or need a little help now and then - driving to appointments, simple meal preparation, assisting in the home? Do you have a full time helper and need to fill in the 2-3 days they are not working? I am dependable/mature and in good health.[/FONT]

[FONT='times new roman', serif]My availability: 3 consecutive days/week, or part-time/partial days. Overnights possible. $15-$20 hour depending on needs.

I enjoy being around, talking to older people, listening to their wisdom and life story. I've volunteered at Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly, offering socialization and home-assessment visits, for two years when living in San Francisco. I completed a college internship (counseling) at San Francisco Suicide Prevention "Friendship Line," their at-risk elder program. I am trained in various counseling and communication models; I am a compassionate, active listener.[/FONT]
