    Skunk smell in basement...help!!!!!

Our basement stinks of skunk almost every morning....although we have never seen one...

We are airing out with fans all day and the smell goes....
Just to re appear the following day...

Has anybody had a similar issue?
Or good suggestions of how to deal with this???

    Would be SO appreciated ...

    Thanks in advance

Look for entrance / exit points. At ground level, or nearly ground level, outside. Seal them up with wire or steel wool, making sure the skunk is not inside first. Then cross your fingers and wait.

You can live trap a skunk. But the consequences are devastatingly odiferous! Not recommended.

If you think there are skunks under the house or getting into your basement, there is an easy fix: Skunks are nocturnal (and right now settling in to nest) and hide from the light. Either put a drop-light (the kind with a wire cage around it) under your house or turn a light on in the basement. Leave it on for 3 or 4 days and the skunks should clear out. They won't want to be there anymore. Good luck and keep us posted on the progress.

Now that's a great answer. I don't have any skunks around but boy, that's my kind of solution, Like, hit the tv on the bottom left if the picture is fuzzy.
