Plant Spirit Medicine Training: Restoring Balance

April 28

Sunday, 11am - 4pm

Location: Rock Springs parking lot, Mt. Tamalpais State Park, Marin County

Cost: $75

The plants, trees and flowers communicate in their own unique language which we have the ability to understand, when we slow down enough to listen. Medicine people in native traditions who use plants often work with only one to six different varieties, as it is the spirits of the plants who come forward at the beckoning of the healer, to help heal. These trainings will not only focus on medicinal properties of local native plants and medicine making ways, but primarily on developing a deep and reciprocal friendship with plant spirits. Students will have an opportunity to meet their personal plant spirit allies and begin learning directly from them. These trainings will explore traditional indigenous plant healing ways and engage in journeywork to connect with the plant wisdom of the ancestors. With the guidance of Maria, students will deepen their abilities as Plant Spirit Healers and tenders.

On April 28th we will be spending the day on the land doing ritual with our plant relations, fostering a healthy mutual friendship and opening channels of communication. We will be offering a feast of appreciation and love to the plants to help further restore human-plant relations. There will be an opportunity for a two-hour focused solo experience. Bring a journal, light blanket, water, bag lunch, time piece, layered clothing, biodegradable offerings (flower petals, cornmeal, tobacco, stones, shells, etc.) If you'd like to bring a rattle or small instrument, feel free.
