FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

There will be a protest of Sutter Health's looting of Marin General Hospital. Beginning at 11:30 A.M, Tuesday January 17th,
Members of Occupy Marin, Marin Peace and Justice, Move On, doctors, nurses, and the public, who own the hospital, will gather in front of 1350 South Eliseo Dr., Greenbrae, 94904, which is a Sutter owned building.

We will be protesting the looting of a publicly owned asset by a private corporation. This building as well as Marin Square in San Rafael were allegedly purchased with M.G.H. money, to compete with Marin General.
There were over $180 MILLION dollars removed from Marin General Hospital, by Sutter Health, in the last couple years before Sutter returned local control. This is a blatant theft of public property, and unethical corruption and profiteering by Sutter Health Corporation. https://articles.sfgate.com/2010-06-...-sutter-health

Fors an amusing read which shows Sutter Health, "Community Based, Not For Profit." Which community ARE they talking about, the investor community? They are certainly not talking about the Marin community which supplied the funds. https://www.suttersantarosa.org/rela...nitybased.html

Sutter health needs to return in excess of $180 million to the people of Marin.

FACT Marin General's suit against Sutter Health, charging neglect of "fiduciary duty" and the looting of a public asset by a private corporation, begins arbitration on Tuesday, January 17.

Tuesday January 17th
11:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M.
