Like any other group, Blacks can be fooled too. Obama was elected!
Ron Paul can say anything he pleases but if he were elected president, even if he is sincere, he couldn't singlehandedly close military bases around the world and bring all US troops home, as he claims he would. He couldn't end the war on drugs and release minor drug offenders, go after the banks, etc. etc. First, the powers that be wouldn't allow him to be elected. The election process is controlled by the elite, and as George Carlin succinctly puts it: you and I (and Ron Paul) are not in that club. (A reminder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acLW...eature=related)
I understand that people like to dream that some saviour will lead us out of this oligarchy and Ron Paul's rhetoric sounds sweet to some (while they deny his potentially negative impact on society, like reducing the People's Government and rolling back the New Deal. His basic stance is that eveyone fend for themselves and tough luck if you can't. "Them that's got shall get, them that's not shall lose..."
I see Ron Paul attempting to ride the #OWS/Everywhere movement to benefit his campaign and some are falling for it but HE is not what this movement/revolution is about. If you think so, you're not paying close attention. Fundamental change will not come from this top down, undemocratic system.
This is a "reality show" worth taking the time to watch (No, Ron Paul aint in it):
