Parenting from the Heart - 3 Week Series

Learn skills to improve communication and create a harmonious home environment where everyone's needs are met.


This workshop helps parents improve their capacity to communicate with their children, supporting mutual compassion, understanding, desire to contribute and connection, thus strengthening bonds and creating harmonious family dynamics where communication works for you, not against you. Participants will work with each other and other participants to practice speaking and listening with empathy, form new patterns of responding when emotionally triggered, and develop strategies for ongoing openness and communication.
Knowledge of Nonviolent Communication preferred but not required. (See Intro to Authentic Communication Workshop for more info)

*My approach incorporates the work of international peacemaker, Marshall Rosenberg, Ph. D., combined with experience gained in my personal and professional life. I have trained extensively with International NVC Mediation Leaders John Kinyon and Ike Lasater and incorporate their models and tools into my practice as well. Communication skills have been an essential part of my professional development in the industries of Healthcare, Construction and Marketing in which I have worked, and have lead me to pursue Communication Coaching and Conflict Mediation as my full-time profession. Additionally, I am training to become a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication to further my contribution to the vision of creating peace in the world.
