Cat and Dog Collar Drive for Animal Shelter Pets

Sonoma County Animal Care and Control is in need of cat and dog collars. Cats: adjustable cat collars preferably with bells. Dogs: small and medium adjustable dog collars. New or used in good condition will be greatly appreciated by our rescued pets.

What happens to the collars of the dogs and cats that are euthanized there? They're not recycled? Are they destroyed too?
