Bobcat/Mountain Lion on Fircrest Ave Seb

This morning at about 7:45 - as our gate opened to let a truck in, a bobcat/mountain lion ran out with one of our chickens - both my dogs and I persued, he dropped the chicken and ran into the field across the street, within city limits. We thought we had foxes, lost a few chickens this month - but it appears to be feline. She had one of our Buff Orpingtons, which is not a small chicken, so it was not a small cat. Watch your small animals!

Big difference between a mountain lion & a bob cat. Please be more specific before you post

Here in Forestville, a bobcat took several of our chickens last fall before we got their pen predator-proofed. The bobcat was again spotted just a few days ago. We had been letting the hens out into a less secure area and the bobcat was ready to take advantage of our relaxed vigilance. Fortunately an astute neighbor ran it off and the girls are once again confined to their safe area.
