The Far West Fest, the only festival of its kind in Marin County, has become a day synonymous with community. Now in our 5th year, we have enjoyed significant annual growth and evolution. We expect to host 2,000 West Marin, Regionally based, and traveling revelers in 2010.

FWF is a GREEN event with 100% recycling/ zero-waste, carbon offset options, and no plastic packaging on site. Food vendors are local purveyors of organic, sustainable offerings including oysters, fresh produce, grass-fed meats, and baked goods.

The festival hosts two stages, offering a lineup of blues, country, rock, folk, experimental, bluegrass and world music, internationally touring acts and local favorites.

In addition to two music stages, the Far West Fest offers a supervised Kidz Zone that features interactive activities, healthful snacks, and kid-centric live music and storytellers. Clowns, jugglers, and other circus acts dot the landscape throughout the day.

FWF is a crucial fundraiser for area non-profits, including Home Base, KWMR Community Radio, and three area Non-profit preschools.

Discounted tickets are on sale now for the 5th annual benefit event, the West Marin party of the summer, featuring two stages of great acts: The Pimps of Joytime, Monophonics, Sister Carol (and her big reggae band) El Radio Fantastique (featuring members of Yard Dogs Road Show) Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers (featuring members of Motherhips), Brindl and Friends, Dgiin, Bo Bo Tempo, Coastal Dave- One Man Band -Sanctified Cigar Box…

Just announced! Sword Swallower, Tobias, of Yard Dogs Road Show Fame, will be joining the dancing, crooning, brassy, and completely unique crew of El Radio Fantastic for their set at 5pm.

Enjoy local oysters grass-fed burgers, and all kinds of quality local food. Hang out in the Lagunitas Beer Garden, stroll the Far A-field Large sculpture exhibit, peruse arts and crafts, and get childish at our award winning Kidz Zone. It’s a solar-powered, zero-waste, GREEN THING, and it all benefits: KWMR Community Radio, area preschools, Love Field community commons, and Home Base youth! programs.
