Cat Found Occidental Rd nr Green Hill Weds 28

I am looking for the guardians of a rather large grey tabby female cat who was hit by a car and left for dead in the middle of the road. She raised her head at the right moment and allowed me to handle her and take her to my vet who gave her pain meds and stabilized her. She is at the animal care and control center on Airway Road waiting for an exray. She is alert and will be fine with a little help. The deadline for getting to her is May 4th. She was refused by the Sonoma Humane Society on 12 because she was found in an unincorporated area, so I spent the morning learning what could happen to our animals who live in this area if they happen to be injured.
The animal control is located at 1247 Century Court off Regional Parkway (near the airport) 565-7100 Hit 1, and then 9 to get to a person. Phone hours 9-5:30, Public hours Tues - Sat 12-5:30.
