Pivotal Sexual Assault Case

Dear Wacco Readers,

In light of the fact that we currently have predators (more than one guy) on our county roads, it is imperative that justice be served in another case: because the outcome will effect our county for a very long time.

This is a pivotal Sexual Assault Case: Case #DAR 566126 of Jaime Hernandez Gonzalez

Please write a letter to the District Attorney's office in support of the jury's verdict of Gonzalez as guilty of assault to commit a sex crime during a burglary.

Sonoma County's Superior Court Judge Gary Medvigy needs to uphold the law and the jury's verdict of guilty, regardless of how he personally feels about it. Otherwise it "takes sexual assault out of the equation" so that Gonzalez wil not have to register as a sex offender. Therefore, the NEXT TIME he committs a crime it will be his first time! Can we live with that?!!!

CLOSE TO HOME: Medvigy's decision hurts victims of sexual assault

Throughout the case Gary Medvigy kept dismissing the severity of the crime committed. He is obviously clueless! It is bozos like him that make our communities unsafe and allow crime to thrive. As a native New Yorker, I urge the people of Sonoma County who are concerned for the wellbeing of children and women to write and express your support of the jury's decision and condemn Gary Medvigy's ineptness in this matter.

My feelings are more like...it's bozos who try to second guess judges who need jerked up short. Either we have a fair and realistic judicial system in this country, or we don't.
If we don't we change it through legislation, not through a lynch mob mentality.
Regardless of the perpetrators intention, giving him what amounts to a life sentence for something current sentencing structure does not allow for cannot be construed as failure to protect the public.
When prosecuting attorneys demand sentences based on what the law proscribes (instead of politicizing such cases for their own gain) people like that particular assailant will be charged with a sex crime, sentenced appropriately, and forced to register as a sex offender.
'Clueless' in my opinion are the raving lunatics who keep screaming, not for justice, but for vengeance.
How about we use our minds here and not our emotions.
Rape is an ugly crime, but using someone's victimization to further your career should be a crime..the prosecution attorney was shameless.
And people screaming for a life sentence for this crime are no better than a lynch mob.
