    Vitamins fail to protect (again)

Science's verdict: Arch Intern Med -- Abstract: Multivitamin Use and Risk of Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease in the Women's Health Initiative Cohorts, February 9, 2009, Neuhouser et al. 169 (3): 294

And Big Pharma's amazing reply: Women's Multivitamin Study Seriously Flawed, As Usual by Mike Adams the Health Ranger

Yes, Big Pharma, because who do you think makes all those white powder artificial drugs they call "vitamins?" Yup, the big drug companies. Most of the little guys buy their big boxes of powdered, artificially produced vitamins from the big pharmaceutical companies. In fact, a few of the big guys have their own vitamin companies. I'm sure there are a whole lot of vitamin companies that claim their vitamins are "all natural." Of course, that doesn't really mean anything. Tobacco and lead are "all natural" too.

And how much money do you think the "supplement" industry makes?

Check out this little ditty: Byron J. Richards -- Big Pharma Trojan Horses Permeate Supplement Industry

Confusing, eh? So there you have it. Make up your own mind.

    I'll save my money.

Re: Vitamins fail to protect (again)

Here's a an online vitamin sales article from BASF: BASF makes vitamin A to suit all market tastes

From the article: "... BASF is introducing a new formulation of compressible vitamin A suitable for the spectrum of specialist diets, giving its customers one ingredient to meet the specifications of every market in which their products are sold.
Dry Vitamin Acetate 250 DC/GFP can be marketed as vegetarian, allergen-free, kosher certified, halal certified, and GMO-, BHT-, dioxin-, and gluten-free, says the company. ..."

The "truth" about vitamin marketing. From the "horse's mouth."
