On a related note, I am sorry about all the fear around homemade goodies and whole fruits (i.e "razorblade" fears). How I would love to hand out fresh-baked cookies or tangerines! Oh well, guess I'll stick to organic lollipops.

p.s the conspiracy theorist in me says the razorblade stories were spread by the Snickers people, but I have no proof.

I make individual bags of fresh hot popcorn each year for all the neigborhood kids. I go through 20plus bags each year.. plus ofcourse the usual candy garbage.. they love both. This year my daughter went through her toys so we will be giving out recycled toys (100 plus items), popcorn and candy too... Should be lots of fun. No parents have ever complained about the popcorn,, and I only give it to those I know. Even in the olden days when I was a kid,,, my parents were way perinoid about poison and or dangerous items in our halloween bags.. sad really.
